The Village introduced its 150th Anniversary Logo and web site (Lemont150.com).
The Village Administrator addressed the potential TIF (west of Smith Road) at the current time. He mentioned the need for the Village to have a seat at the table (compared to other jurisdictions). The mayor reiterated that Lemont is surrounded by a lot of incorporated land. He added the comment, "If it's going in our backyard, we want to have a say in what's going on." The mayor continued by saying they told the developer to meet with the neighbors, they want to make it as transparent as possible, and they are at the beginning of a long process.
